Exit/Entry Windows

Exit/Entry Windows

Overview

Balancing Act gives you the ability to customize what users see when they begin a simulation. The "Exit/Entry" tab in the simulation building window provides options to:
  1. Add branding, such as your logo
  2. Insert videos, including messages from senior leaders or walkthroughs of the simulation
  3. Use text to provide context or provide guidance
  4. Provide links to additional information
  5. Ask survey questions
  6. Learn where they live by having them "drop a pin" on a map

Entry and Exit Questions

The first controls you encounter allow you to configure simple survey questions that can be asked in the entry or exit modal.
Several questions are suggested by default, but can be changed by you. "Create Question" allows you to build your own question. The "Ask on Exit" check box means that question will be repeated upon exit, allowing you to compare. If an entry question is not answered, it is automatically repeated on exit.
Responses are included in the report that is accessed from the simulation page.

Custom Settings

The first setting is a check box for "drop-a-pin," which presents to users a prompt to enter their postal code and then a map appears where they can drop a pin near their residence.

The longitude and latitude of the user will be written on the report accessed from the main simulation page by an active simulation. A visual representation of user's pins is also presented in Analytics.

The next two sections allow you to enter rich content. The top of each window presents formatting options and tools to add photos, live updating visualizations, links and videos.

Inserting videos from YouTube is easy. Simply copy the URL, click on the </> icon, and paste.
