Adding a Suggestion Box

Adding a Suggestion Box

How it Works

Enabling the 'Your Suggestion' feature on Simulate gives you the opportunity to capture additional sentiment from your users. You'll have the option to allow users to include an amount associated with their suggestion and either have that apply to the balance bar or not.

Adding a Suggestion Box

Click on the "Simulation" button on the left and then click on either "Create Simulation" or "Edit", depending on if you are starting from scratch or editing an existing simulation.

From the "Spending" tab, you'll begin by adding a category by clicking on the "Add Category" button.

Give the Category a name, such as "Suggestion" or "Idea". After you save the category, hover your cursor over the category and you'll see a grey chat box icon appear that reads, "Add a Suggestion Box".

You have now successfully created a suggestion box for your Simulation! Just like any other sub-category item, you'll be able to add more info, more details, and customize it.

Settings and Customize

From the "Customize" column, click on the three dots associated with the new sub-category item, "Your Suggestion".

Three different customizable options for the suggestion box will appear.
  1. Do not include an amount field (default)
  2. Include an amount field, but do not apply it to the balance
  3. Include an amount field and apply it to the balance

If you select one of the amount options, you can add a ceiling that the user will not be able to exceed.
